Solution 1: Run CHKDSK<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first step involves running CHKDSK, which is a built-in tool to resolve corruption issues in the disk (external hard drive in this case). It can resolve file system errors and also detect bad sectors. To run CHKDSK<\/strong>, follow the steps below.<\/p>\n

      2. Enter the admin ID and password to log in<\/li>\n
      3. In the Command Prompt<\/strong>, type<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u2018CHKDSK <drive letter:> \/R\u2019<\/p>\n

        Note: Please replace <drive letter> with the letter corresponding to your external hard disk.<\/em><\/p>\n

        This command will resolve corruption issues in the selected drive and also scan for bad sectors.<\/p>\n

        Solution 4: Recover data and format the drive<\/strong><\/p>\n
