They may worry about the loss of Windows partition due to unmounting and re-mounting.<\/p>\n<p>If you are one among those, then don\u2019t worry. Here we will show you how to resolve \u201cBoot Camp is not detected in Startup Disk\u201d issue with no risk of erasing your Boot Camp partition.<\/p>\n<p>Here we go\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open <strong>System Preference &gt; NTFS-3G<\/strong>. Authenticate with the lock icon on the lower left<\/li>\n<li>Select your Boot Camp partition in &#8220;<strong>Mounted NTFS-3g volumes<\/strong>&#8221; (it should already be selected if it is the only NTFS partition)<\/li>\n<li>Check the box for \u201c<strong>Disable NTFS-3G for the volume<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Exit System Preferences<\/li>\n<li>Now, drag your Boot Camp partition to the Trash\/Wastebasket (i.e., unmount it)<\/li>\n<li>Then either reboot your system or open Disk utility which you can find in the utility folder in Applications and unmount your Bootcamp volume and then mount it again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now when you check under \u201cSystem Preferences &gt; Startup Disk\u201d you will see the Bootcamp partition again.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf you find any files have been deleted or lost from Boot Camp partition, then no need to worry as there is a solution to recover.
